వీడు ఆరడుగుల బుల్లెట్టు అన్న పాటలోని ఆ పాదం విన్నప్పుడు అరె భలే బాగుందే అనిపించింది.

అయితే ఇవ్వాళ ఈ కవిత చదివాక 1960 లలోనే చైనాలో మిలటరీ దుస్తుల్ని వేసుకుని ట్రైనింగ్ గ్రౌండ్ కి వచ్చిన మహిళ ని ఉద్దేశించి "ఐదడుగుల రైఫిల్" అని మావో సె-తుంగ్ రాయడం చూసి చాలా ఆశ్చర్యం వేసింది. యాభైయేళ్ల క్రితమే ఆడవాళ్లకు ఎన్నో ఆంక్షలున్న సమయంలో మావో సమదృష్టి కనపడ్డం గురించి మాడ్రన్ పోయెట్రీ దాటి ముందు కొచ్చి రాయడం గురించి ఆలోచించాల్సి వచ్చింది.

మావో సె-తుంగ్ రాసిన కవిత కి బాణీ ని కూర్చి పాటలా విడుదల చేయగా 1960-70 ల మధ్య ఆ పాట బహుళ ప్రజాదరణ పొందిందట..

A poem written by Mao Tse-tung glorifying women in military uniform was set to music and became one of the popular songs in the 1960s and 1970s. It went roughly as: Spirited and attractive, with a five feet rifle/arriving at the training ground with the first rays of morning sunshine/how magnificently ambitious Chinese women are/they prefer military uniforms to feminine clothes...!!!
